ETSI-BC Spring 2023 Funding Intake Opens April 1. And that’s no joke!

ETSI-BC is set to start accepting applications for its Spring Funding Intake on April 1, 2023. We’re excited to support new initiatives around the region to add to the 165 projects we’ve funded since April 2021.

The Fall 2022 Funding Intake included many innovative projects developed by the region’s economic development practitioners. That Intake was over-subscribed, and $543,800 in funding was provided to 26 projects worth over $1.4M, including 3 projects led by First Nations.

“We have earmarked $375,000 for the Spring 2023 Funding Intake, which is focused on our pillars of Building Economic Development Capacity and Innovating & Advancing Key Sectors,” said Laurel Douglas, CEO of ETSI-BC. “We look forward to greeting our partners at one of the two virtual Info Sessions we’re hosting on March 28 & 29, which will be hosted by ETSI-BC Project Consultants Paul Wiest and Renata King”.

“The Info Sessions will explain the application criteria and process, and we will provide tips on ‘getting to yes,’” said Wiest. “If you have economic development projects planned this year that would benefit from ETSI-BC support to help leverage other funding dollars, you’re encouraged to reach out. We aim to inform applicants of the results of their submissions by mid-June 2023.”

Application guides for both Funding Streams are now available on the ETSI-BC website.

  • Building Economic Development Capacity Guide
  • Innovating and Advancing Key Sectors Guide

Funding applications will be accepted on the Grant Application Portal starting April 1, 2023. Proposals will be accepted up until 4 pm PST on May 1, 2023.
