ETSI-BC helps build economic development capacity in other ways than direct grants. We also help develop capacity and knowledge through:
- Support for regional economic development networking and dialogue
- Support for economic development training (eg, BCEDA Economic Development 101 program, CFLI board training modules etc.)
- Research into relevant economic development resources that can be made available for Southern Interior communities
- Subsidized access to meaningful economic development research sources and services
ETSI-BC wishes to support regional collaboration of business support organizations and emerging industry clusters to grow and develop through selectively sponsoring educational opportunities and sharing of best practices for business support organizations, and by occasionally hosting opportunities for education, connection and partnerships.
Modest ETSI-BC sponsorships are limited to region-wide economic development events or sector development and networking events fostering regional economic growth. Events must take place within the ETSI-BC Service Area. Priority will be given to events which support emerging or growth oriented economic sectors and those with broad regional participation and support.
Limited funding will be available to support up to 5 events per year. Applicants are invited to contact ETSI-BC to determine eligibility for funding.
Application deadline: Ongoing until fully subscribed
