The Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI-BC) is pleased to announce the release of its FY2025 Annual Report for the Fiscal Year ended March 31, 2025.
In FY2025, ETSI-BC funded 104 projects throughout its service area, providing almost $2.2 million in funding to projects which had a total value of almost $6 million. These projects helped create or maintain over 4,590 jobs in our region.
“As we conclude Year 1 of our 2024-27 Strategic Plan, we continue to be impressed by the innovative and impactful projects we have been able to support. It’s been a positive year, and I know I can speak for the rest of the Board that it is a privilege to contribute our leadership and governance expertise to this impactful organization,” said Paul Donald, the Board Chair of ETSI-BC.
ETSI-BC remains committed to supporting smaller communities and First Nations. In FY2025, 53 of the 104 projects approved (51%) were based in rural communities and First Nations with fewer than 7,500 residents. Those projects received over $1 million in ETSI-BC support.
Rural communities with populations under 25,000 received $1.8 million in approved funding (82% of FY2025 funding), on 81 projects (78% of projects). Additionally, five Indigenous-led projects received more than $100,000 in total funding.
Laurel Douglas, CEO of ETSI-BC, reflected, “ETSI-BC has had another fulfilling year supporting the economic aspirations of communities throughout the beautiful Southern Interior of BC. We are proud to be recognized as a key supporter by our partners and look forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.”
