October 12, 2021 – The Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI-BC) is partnering with Mitacs to help the region`s businesses, non-profits, First Nations and municipalities by funding Mitacs research internships in partnership with any of the public post-secondary institutes in the Southern Interior of BC. This new partnership intends to address challenges or opportunities that will lead to economic development in the region.

Fall Funding Intake Now Open
October 1, 2021 – Since officially rebranding as the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI-BC) in March of 2021, the Trust has added value to the Southern Interior region by supporting economic development projects in communities and business support organizations. ETSI-BC has approved almost $2.5 million in funding this year, for projects worth approximately $5.5 million. ETSI-BC is pleased to announce another Funding Intake launching today.

ETSI-BC Helps Build Economic Development Capacity in BC`s Southern Interior
May 20, 2021 – Nine recipients ranging from First Nations and municipalities to tourism associations and community-led societies throughout the Southern Interior of BC. have just been awarded a portion of $305,000 in funding for economic development projects from ETSI-BC – the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior. Funding ranged from $13K to the maximum of $50K. This tranche of funding was the first to be allocated as per ETSI-BC`s new Strategic Plan, which was launched on April 1, 2021.
