Strong Response to the 2025 Fall Funding Intake

The Fall 2025 Funding Intake offered by the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior (ETSI-BC) closed on October 9, 2025 with an impressive 45 applications received, and total funding requests of more than $1.6 million. The innovative projects planned by the region’s economic developers, business support organizations and communities represent a combined project value of over $4.8 million in investment in the region.

Applications came evenly from both the Columbia-Kootenay and Thompson-Okanagan regions and represented eight of the nine regional districts served by ETSI-BC. Notably, five applications were submitted by Indigenous-led organizations, highlighting continued collaboration across the region.

There is only $1 million in funding available for this Intake, so the ETSI-BC Grant team will review submissions over the coming weeks, and Project Consultants may be in contact with applicants during this stage to discuss project suitability and clarify budgets if needed.

Following the review, the ETSI-BC Regional Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet on November 28 to consider recommendations. ETSI-BC hopes to share funding decisions with applicants by the first week of December. If there are any changes to this schedule, applicants will be contacted directly.
